Senior Residents

A few short years ago, before my days were filled with running two businesses and homeschooling my two boys, I was a Pediatric Hospitalist.  That meant that I had my own little team of residents and medical students that helped take care of hundreds of sick children in the hospital.  It was an exciting time, and just like on TV, filled with drama.  I don't exactly miss the drama, but I do miss a lot of the people I worked with, including this fantastic group of physicians.  When I left that position, these women were pediatric interns-in their first year of pediatric training.  Now, they are 2 months from graduating residency, and I was so excited when they asked me to take their pictures.  They are a fun, smart, beautiful bunch, and taking their pictures was an honor.

M family at Gilcrease

I met this VERY photogenic family at Gilcrease museum for their pictures.  The lighting was perfect, the flowers were blooming, and we had a lot of fun roaming the grounds looking for great places to snap a few shots.

Jonah and Jesse

I met two adorable brothers,  Jonah and Jesse, at a local park for this photo shoot.  The park is really beginning to show the signs of Spring-pansies, daffodils, flowering bushes and patches of green grass made for great photo spots.  As always, lots of rocks and water meant plenty of places for little boys to explore!

Ella

The snow has melted and things are finally warming up a bit!  It was so nice to meet little Ella and enjoy some time at the park.  Things are starting to green up and I've even seen a few daffodils in bloom!  Ella was such a doll for this photo shoot and didn't even mind getting a little dirty when it meant getting a great shot. :-)

Snow Day!!

The Blizzard of 2/1/2011 is one for the history books!  We had 16 inches of snow on top of an inch or so of ice (yuck) at our house.  It is just crazy to think that four days ago we were in shorts hiking the trails of Redbud Valley and today we are snuggled up by the fire after spending some time in the snow!  I took a few pictures of my boys in the winter wonderland that I hope you enjoy.  I'm working on editing pictures from a family photo shoot earlier this week and I'll have those posted soon.  Stay warm and stay safe!!

Look at those snow drifts!  Somewhere under that large drift is a big stone bubbler and a bench!

My Favorite Monkey.

The Jeep made it through the neighborhood, but that was enough for us today!

My boys have spent more time at the beach than in the snow, so they adapted today
and buried each other just like they do with sand. :)

This is exactly how the snow makes me feel!

Andrew. 16 days old.

It was such a pleasure to take pictures of baby Andrew.  He is only 16 days old, but he has lots of personality!  He was absolutely precious and did such a great job with lots of different poses.  It was a very special day and I was so glad to get a few shots of the entire family, including Abby, the family dog.

I love this picture so much, I edited it a few different ways.

such a big smile!

another sweet smile!

Beautiful new family
